HAVAL create hash online
About HAVAL create hash online tool
Perform a HAVAL cryptographic hash function on the data on the Input window. Havel can produce hashes of different lengths. Length choices are 128 bit, 160 bits, 192 bits, 224 bits, and 256 bits while number of rounds you can specify include 3 or 4. To use the function follow these steps.
- 1. Enter or paste data into the “Input data” window.
- 2. From the Algorithm drop-down, make a bit selection of 128, 160, 192, 224, or 256.
- 3. From the Rounds drop-down, make a selection of 3 or 4.
- 4. See the result in the Output window.
It was invented by a trio of scientists - Josef Pieprzyk, Jennifer Seberry and Youliang Zheng back in 1992. A team of chinese scientists (Xiaoyun Wang, Dengguo Feng, Xuejia Lai and Hogonbo Yu) discovered a serious flaw in the system, detecting collisions in the 128 bit variant of haval. The hashes produced by Haval are usually shown as hexadecimal numbers, 32, 40, 48, 56 or 64 digits long. What is a characteristic to Haval is that the tiniest of changes made to the original message will often completely change the output.
